Any web sites for car valuations plz ?

Hi
Hope this is the correct forum

I have a car in my possesion which i bought for somebody & there was a fall out and i do not drive myself ! so now i will have to sell it.

I know nothing about cars so iam stuck with a car and a credit card bill which i used to purchase the car.
Where do i start ?

Anybody any advice please

Parkers as mentioned gives a very vague guideline. Usually, its the little things that make all the difference eg. colour, spec, conditon etc.

I usually go on www.autotrader.co.uk and look for similar cars for sale with similar specs, mileage etc to get a better idea of what you should be pitching the car at. Often the price you end up selling at is usually dependant on how quickly you want rid of it.

Only use if the car is falling to bits, it's a good way of getting rid of a problem car which you can't be bothered fixing.

I used this crowd to get a price for my car before i recently traded it in. They quoted me about £2000 less than the private sale price and around £1000 less than the trade in price.

It may be useful if your car is a wreck but if the car is half way decent and fairly new then forget it.

thank you everybody i have had a look and the car i have seems to be advertised with other sellers for a price off around 2,250 ono , i did not pay that for the car
i am waiting on the v5 coming back then i will try and sell it to recoup my money

sorry if i appear to be ignorant on this matter its because iam lol
just hoping to recoup the money i paid , i dont know whether to advertise it on auto trader or moter mart is only a fiver or addvertise it local
i just need the money back for it asap
