so am i understanding this right, i need to click on the link on another computer, burn onto a cd then run the cd in my computer, i should be able to do this at my friends house tomorow then i will report back.Everything is fixable. I'm just surprised no one has come to your aid.
First of all I recommend that you use a Live CD to rescue your photographs.

I haven't used the particular tool myself, so I don't know the interface.
See how you get on with it, if it doesn't do the job, I'll point you towards another Live CD(a system whereby you have access to the files on your computer without overwriting them).0 -
