As to the old chestnut that CRT is better, it aint, even on SD the picture on a GOOD QUALITY set is far superior, as well as the obvious that u couldnt get a CRT bigger than 36", (and u couldnt lift it either)

If you get burbling on FM, it usually means you're overloading the set with too much signal, the only downside of FM is that is can suffer from too much signal too! (or as the poster above says, too much Steve Wright LOL)

No, I'll stick with my 28" widescreen CRT - you don't need much bigger than 32" really for an average room.

I've been in someone's house and they have a 60" LCD and it was awful, as the set was too big for the room, it was like watching a blurred tennis match my head was going side to side just watching the news. (Not slating the LCD here, just the pure size and sitting 3 feet away from it, and also they didn't understand why they should buy an HD sky box either!)

However, I did see one LCD yesterday in Comet, only 28", very very expensive, and will conceed I've now seen an LCD I'd be happy to buy! Another couple of years for this to become mainstream, or OLED to take off, and I may ditch my CRT when it goes pop.
