If you are feeling brave you could always post a link here and ask for comments on photos/price etc - be prepared to have at least one poster criticise your choice of sofa or lampshade though.....;)0

Ah - thanks wanttosell!!!
Maybe it is but thats not the reason for 4 no-shows, a crappy brochure and a for sale board that was put behind a large bush and that fell down 24 hours after being put up and that still hasn't been put right after what must have been 10 phone calls!
Oh well I guess I'll just have to wait till the manager calls me back and take it from there!!!0 -
why did you sign a contract that would you cost you £50 to terminate....???:beer:0

where is your property?A blonde... cleverly disguised as a Brunette.......;)0

.........We signed the contract under the impression they were going to actively market our property as advertised.
Natty082 - the property is in Hull.
what does the contract say about their responsibilities? have they clearly failed to do anything that they are obliged to do in the contract?0 -

When we signed the contract they told us a copy would be delivered to us the following day when they came to take the photos - since then we have chased them for it numerous times but to no avail. Even when we went in on saturday to deliver the letter they told me that the photocopier wasn't working.
I told them this morning that I will go in this evening to collect it.0 -
£50 is not too bad. We just had to fork out £150 to be released from our contract as well as give 28 days notice.
I sympathize with the no shows, we had roughly 50% of viewers fail to turn up in the 3 months we were on the market (have since decided not to sell, in part due to this). There just seems to be far too much choice out there at the moment for buyers.Questions are a burden for others; answers a prison for oneself.0 -
Sadly a typical Estate Agent. IMHO they're only useful for medical experimentation0

You could always just make unreasonable demands until they tell you to f*** off.
Start by asking them to re-do all the brocures and photographs and put the price up by £50k. Keep ringing them 2 times a day asking if they carried out your instructions. insist on speaking to the manager. when he stops taking your calls, go in to the office instead.
I'm sure it's more hassle and probably more expensive than paying the £50, but you know you'll feel better.Bankruptcy isn't the worst that can happen to you. The worst that can happen is your forced to live the rest of your life in abject poverty trying to repay the debts.0
