right theres actually a few reasons for clearance products.

1. new line updates. say for example, toni & guy bring out 2 new shampoos & conditioners. we wouldn't have room to stock them so other older products get pushed out & marked down. currently soap & glory are bringing in new products & as a results hte one night tanned & slim-wear have been marked down in price.

2. discontinuations. for any of a number of reasons, the manufacturers may decide to stop making a product altogether! when this happens, we often mark the products to half price in order to sell the remainder of them.

3. re-packaging. when a brand decide to repackage they want the transition from old to new packaging to be as smooth as possible. therefore the old products are reduced in price in order to sell quickly so they can be replaced by the new products. this happened just recently with the boots own time delay range.

4. old offer stock / left over stock. every so often, say every month or so we are encouraged to have big tidy of the stock room. its at this point that any left over stock, previous GWP's, products that we dont stock any more, products that are slightly damaged i.e lid missing get marked down in price. sometimes the clearance shelves look like a jumble sale, there can be so many different odds & ends!

it was this one, last one in main boots birmingham but may be h/p elsewhere.
the body butter would have cost 7.50 anyway so it was worth it.

Really, just shows you, This was at The Mayflower estate, basildon, first time visit for me. I have to admit I was half expecting a bigger store but it was very nice all the same and well stocked with TD wipes, Ted baker bags (reduced).

I expect all you ladies know this already, but the Model Me shampoos and conditioners are now selling at £2.50 each. They used to be more expensive and have been on offer at 2 for £5. Anyway the 250 point vouchers from the mag insert can be used against these making them completely free. The vouchers still don't scan but the points have to added manually. This morning in Kingston I bought 5 in separate transactions ( adding other things to make up to £5 obviously !) and the supervisor added 1250 points for me at the end. She didn't look too happy but apart from the fact that it says ''one per customer'' , I wasn't doing anything wrong. No mags left in Kingston but pleny of mags, with inserts, available in Weybridge.

Thanks MRSBB, will use my 2 pinkies on those brushes I think. Did try one yesterday but it bleeped so I left it. Think it was the eyeliner one. I have hazel eyes, more green than brown, so want to try the reddy shade, do you think? I'm going to the races tomorrow so I want to look my best! Face made up with N0 7 (usually rimmel is as good as I get!) hair styled with TS (not too much of it though!) and a dress from monsoon sale! lol not that I'm a cheapskate or anything! x
