  • I've thought of another penalty:

Being forced to go to a Boots the day after a voucher has expired, knowing that you have several in your purse/in your special envelope you keep vouchers in/on your desk annoying you/in the bin and finding...

...they have stock of TD wipes, Sanctuary wipes, reduced No7 rainbow palettes... abundant stock, just teasing you

    Bring on the gin

omg that would be like toture

  • hi, i have a load of vouchers, with no name on and which expire 28/11/2008.
They are no longer use for me and would like them to get used by people that need them and would use them.
I am offering these as free but if anybody would like to send me a skincare or no7 voucher then i would be very very very grateful.
    Vouchers are as follows:
50P OFF any cow and gate baby balance breakfast cereal from 7 months x2
50P OFF cow and gate baby balance pure baby rice x2
50P OFF any cow and gate baby balance breakfast cereal from 4 months x2
50P OFF any cow and gate dairy dessert 4 pack x2
50P OFF any cow and gate frutapura 4pack x2
£1 OFF cow and gate good night follow on milk 400g x2
£1 OFF cow and gate follow on milk for babies six months+ 900g x2 *GONE*
BUY 4 SAVE 60P any cow and gate baby balance stage 2 meal x2
BUY 4 SAVE 50P any cow and gate baby balance stage 1 meal x2
30P OFF any cow and gate dairy dessrt 4 pack x2
25P OFF any cow and gate frutapura 4pack
25P OFF any cow nad gate baby balance 500ml diluted fruit juice x2

So it is fair for others who may not see this straight away, i am only offering maybe 4 or 5 vouchers per person at the mo, think this is fair.

If these would help any1 just mail me xxxxx hope this helps some1
  • Congratulations KJ :T

Thank you all for being so welcoming. I try my best when in Boots, however I often find myself a bit limited for time, and with a big list tend to get a bit blinkered. Must try harder!

Anyway, I have no doubt that I'll be toddling off again tomorrow. Does anyone know how long they are giving out the skincare and No. 7 vouchers for? It seems like this has been going on for quite a while. But musn't grumble i've got myself a few No 7 for Men bits, and built up my points balance a bit. (Whispers) Don't tell Mrs BTVB, but I might use them for one of her Christmas presents. :shhh:

Aww, bless, thats so sweet MrsBTVB is lucky :T

The pinkies are vaild til 14th of Sept - No7 SA told me today that my store will stop giving these out on the 9th though, so not sure if this applies to all stores?

And till spits are valid til 9th of Sept - the others have always been given out up until the expiry date if I remember correctly...if not someone will be along shortly to correct me :rotfl:

I used a couple of pinkies on these today. The small Boots on Sauchiehall Street in Glasgow was selling them for £6.50 so only cost £1.50 with voucher.

Quick one before I go then.......since I used to bite my nails so bad when I was little my dad would tell me my fingers looked like sausages! :rotfl:

I found nothing worked as I was quite a committed chewer. However, I'm sure someone can recommend a product to try.
What actually stopped me biting them was an old boyfriend. He bought me a manicure and I was so embarrassed at the tiny stubs they had to paint (with a mere dab of clear polish! :rotfl: ) Then, since my boyfriend had paid for them to be done (at least the cuticles had been tidied) I felt that I couldn't bite them - for about a week but that led to 2 and suddenly had the beginnings of some nails.......Just a thought - in case the disgusting nail stuff doesn't work!

    Nite-nite!

    ;)

    I'll go along with that!

I remember buying 'stop'n'Grow', and stoically chewing my nails anyway, until the taste went away...:o

Pride stopped me in the end. My friends and I bet each other 10p we couldn't break a habit by Christmas (how confident were we :rotfl: ). I allowed myself to bite four nails for the first couple of weeks, then cut back to two. It seemed to take ages before I managed to stop biting that last pinkie nail (see what I did there - keeping it Boots related :rotfl: :rotfl: ).

But I did it. I still have relapses almost x0years later :o . You can tell how I'm doing emotionally just by glancing at my hands (hmm - basically on an even keel just now, with just a little bit of fraying round the cuticles ;) ).

Bottom line - unless she is really ready to give up for herself, it's unlikely that all the nasty tasting potions in the world will stop her.

Best of luck to her! (And when she's got ten lovely nails to show off, Mr B has plenty of stuff to help glam 'em up :D ).

    [snipped ...]

A few people have mentioned getting spits for less spend, but I don't think anyone has broken it down and so it may be going unnoticed. But I have noticed it in my shops, too, and am not sure exactly how or why it works, so I can't give a complete explanation, except to say that it does work if done as stated below.

Basically, here is what you do (all in the same transaction):
-TS glitch (can be the 1p glitch or 1.01, etc)
-use a till spit or No7 voucher to buy something (it's fine if the item is free after voucher)
-Make sure your total that you actually pay comes to over 2 pounds -- I like to toss in dove handwash, dish liquid, a snack -- something I can use and stock up on
-Wham! You qualify for both 5 quid vouchers! I have gone as low as a 2.22 spend and gotten both vouchers. I have no idea how low I could go (and really wouldn't care to go lower as I like to cover the TS glitch), or if it would work with only the TS glitch or only the till spit/no7 voucher with a 2-quid spend. What I do know is if I do both and spend a bit over 2 quid, I get both spits.

Several of us have noted that when using the TS glitch we sometimes get points as though we'd spent 3 quid more than we actually spent, so perhaps that is the key? [snipped ...]

Cheers skibster, after looking at my spends yesterday I'm tending to agree :)

After I'd posted about my £3.50 spend yesterday I realised it was the TS glitch that enabled me to receive 2 x till spits on such a low spend, as before all the vouchers and TS items etc went through, the spend was £18.00+ and I expected to pay approx £8.50 ish.

So after I'd done that transaction twice, I popped into another store to see if it worked there but there was no TS serum or the TS tub stuff so left all the TS stuff alone and took what I had through the till and paid £2.74 but received no till splits.

Seems the TS glitch is even better than peeps thought ;)
