Also, SOME of us actually have charm so that's why i was able to obtain the password from the girl across the road. :p

    Good for you.

    Well done.

How else do you steal things from people or is it only through your "charm"

Most USB dongles are backward-compatible with USB-1...only difference is the speed of the link to your router, e.g. if it will do 54MBits/sec in a USB-2 port, you will probably get 11-36 MBits/sec in a USB-1 port. Really not an issue if your broadband connection is less than 11 MBits/sec.

I have a dodgy "i" key, so ignore spelling errors due to "i" issues, ...I blame Apple :D

    You need a library card.
Haynes 'Computer Manual' read it an wonder why you were even slightly concerned about unscrewing the case and chucking in a wireless card that you'll get from HK off ebay for about a quid ;)

do try and find another peep with the same set up as you.
some wireless dongles dont work too well on certain set ups, ie mobo/OS/router.
im having problems at the moment with a netgear dongle and an O2 router.
    seems its a driver problem.
    Get some gorm.

I had this with my BT router and Belkin wireless dongle was flakey at times, so i bought a BT wireless dongle and it works terrifically (if terrifically is a word!!!)
