We have just completed using Arc and they were really good overall. Extremely happy with the response times as have had nightmare experiences in the past. There were some delays on my mortgage coming through but I was told that this might be the case but would recommend them to anyone.

I work in the property industry and have unfortunately had first hand experience with ARC. If you want to be able to speak to one dedicated person throughout the conveyancing process and not passed about like a pretty maid at a barn dance, then ARC is not for you. I would suggest using a recommended solicitor in the locality of the area in which you are buying. ARC may be cheap(est), but you certainly get what you pay for!!!!0

Have just used ARC for a split sale/purchase. Sale was OK- not that they have to do much!
Purchase was also OK but they did try to charge to "review" the additional searches I had done. I accept the searches were additional to the original quote, but I pointed out since they didn't offer any opinion on the results of those searches, I couldn't see what value their "review" added! They agreed to waive these extra charges!!
On a similar vein, their "completion report" had nothng specific about the property I was buying. In particular, they made no mention of a right of easement on the property and it was only by going through all the documents with a fine tooth comb, I spotted it. This was all the more annoying since all the docs were sent in one go at the end., just as you're ready to sign the contract. Cosequently, there was a mad rush around trying to establish the full details of the easement before committing to the purchase.
In summary, you get what you pay for, a reasonable process driven service but little value added.0 -
Overall good experience. Bit of waiting for email replies and hard to reach on the phone. But we have managed to sort out everything and got the mortgage. Moneywise - compare to other solicitors - Arc Property Solicitors have reasonable prices. I would recommend.0
