The latest Lidl leaflet, for offers starting 14 November, says they now take credit and debit cards.

There are signs up in the window of Lidl yesterday about taking credit cards.
Remember that they have their Christmas offers starting tomorrow 12th which include the sub £20 dvd player

Thanks Scots_Girl!

It may make life easier, but I fear it could make it much more expensive too!
So many bargains....too little money

I fear they may increase their prices to absorb the costs of taking credit cards.0

Hope this applies to Northern Ireland also. I haven't even been able to use my Halifax debit card in Lidl since it became a Visa debit card. Well, I tried it once and was left red-faced when the till didn't accept it. I had to leave my shopping and go to the hole-in-the-wall to get cash to pay for it. It still only says Switch and Solo, so I never tried again.0
