Lidl now take credit cards

The latest Lidl leaflet, for offers starting 14 November, says they now take credit and debit cards.

This may apply only to the shops that show the Livingston contact address on their receipts.

  • There are signs up in the window of Lidl yesterday about taking credit cards.

    Thanks Scots_Girl! :)

It may make life easier, but I fear it could make it much more expensive too!

So many bargains....too little money :o

I fear they may increase their prices to absorb the costs of taking credit cards.

Anyone know if they take Amex?
  • Hope this applies to Northern Ireland also. I haven't even been able to use my Halifax debit card in Lidl since it became a Visa debit card. Well, I tried it once and was left red-faced when the till didn't accept it. I had to leave my shopping and go to the hole-in-the-wall to get cash to pay for it. It still only says Switch and Solo, so I never tried again.
