new orange freephone number

  • My father has spoken to Ofcom, apparently this is a good way to get orange to sit up and take note, Ofcom said that not all 0800 are free and you should check this 1st ( somehow).Aside from that dad checked his BT phone bill, he says the 0800 he dialed shows as a 07*** so seems they change it to chargeable??

    You can't dial an 0800 number and it show up as an 07 number.


    He must have dialled 07 by mistake instead of 08

    As Silk says, totally improbable as that can't happen, it's likely he was distracted and just dialled the 07 number.

    I thought that but they said wrong sim sent so probably couldn't use it
