hope someone can help.
i recently moved into a property and had bt installed as phone provider.
i was issued a phone number and all was ok. until i wanted broadband i rang sky,o2 aol all say i have a tag on my line and its up to me to ring bt to remove it.
i rang bt and they said its up to the isp that i choose to remove the tag.
i have never had broadband at this house nor any other service. what can i do as no-one will give me broadband.
thanks

It's now up to gaining ISP to resolve this issue - http://www.ofcom.org.uk/consumeradvice/internet/customer_service/tagonline/“I look like Spiderman at a funeral”~ Karl Pilkington0

bit of an update, sky rang today and said they spoke to bt openreach who say the tag belongs to me. when i asked how this happened he says the tag was with a tenant of the same surname as me and they switched it to me. he says it sometimes happens.
i asked who was the tag and i was told orange.
ok i rang orange who say my number is clear and the tag is from a number that used to be here.
im going bald now ripping my hair out. anyone know what i can do. i have now submitted a new order with bt broadband so i hope they can bypass it.
all i want is broadband0 -
Go back to the ISP and tell them the tag was not put on by you and that orange cannot remove it. It is up to the new ISP to get Openreach to remove the tag.0
