I presently have unlimited internet usage on my mobile. Is 'push e-mail' sent via the internet or is a special 'e-mail' package required like blackberry? Also, what 'push e-mail' services are the best?
I also have a pop3 account would receiving e-mails via this method also require any special treatment such as a new add on?

There's a wikipedia article on it here -

You'll note that there are a large number of different and incompatible implementations of Push Email. Therefore the best service is dependent on the handset you have. Then, depending on the service, you might need to set up email forwarding or get the push service to poll regularly your email account (which kind of stops it being push email).
Do you really need email "now" ? I am finding hourly or half-hourly updates more than sufficient and didn't require me to !!!!!! about with third party services.*I reserve the right to have an opinion, the right to change this opinion and the right to be wrong.*Hope that helps.
