I have split these posts from the SIM Card thread on Freebies board.
This thread is being trialled at the moment, as a way of reducing the number of duplicate posts about free SIM cards posted on various boards.
If you have any comments about this system, please use this thread to discuss the issue, rather than clog up the SIM card thread.

Totally confused as where to post this, as is question about SIM cards in general.
I have just applied for my first Virgin freebies, as am a customer with them anyway. How does it work with other networks? I assume I need my phone unlocked which is not a problem. Do these other SIM cards just have £x of credit on them for you to use as you wish or do you have to sign up to anything further?
Thanx0 -
I think they should still be posted on the main post where people wont miss them. Its hardly cluttering up the boards!Nerdy Comper since 2005:D0

Please can someone tell me if you can pick the ph no you like from your selection of free SIMs (thanx to this website!) and ring that network for the PAC code and transfer it to the cheapest PAYG network? As PAYG tariffs change, can you port a PAYG no back to its original network if they subsequently become the cheapest? I guess they charge for this?
I only order free SIMs with no credit on them to find a phone number I can remember. This happens when you get old(er)0 -
its a great idea imo0
