It's my DS's 12th birthday on Tuesday. Two weeks ago I bought him a new mobile for his pressie. He's just handed it to me and the screen is totally blank/broken and you can see a big crack internally. As far as I know he's not done anything extreme with it as he's been here with me all afternoon (but he's denying all knowledge and to be quite frank I'm absolutely livid so I'll question him more later when we've both calmed down).
I bought it from Asda and have the receipt - can I take it back?
I don't understand it as I've dropped my phone a couple times and it's survived without a scratch (same brand phone, different models). The only thing I can think of - it's a slider phone, and he's sat on it with it open?
I can't even bear to look at him right now. It cost me a lot of money and I couldn't possibly afford to replace it.:T*Thanks to all who posts comps * :j0 -

Hi everyone,
I've not really been around for a few days cause Dsd got married yesterday. She looked so beautiful. I've been doing her wedding cake all week so not had much time. How does anyone type with long nails. I wasn't fast to start with now I keep hitting the wrong keys:rotfl:
Kisto my dd did that with her MOS mp3 player that cost £200. She'd used it less then 2 week. They wouldn't change it and said it wasn't mendable. So I know how you feel.
ps: I put myself on the map:D I wonder how long it will take to fill.£2021 in 2021 no.17 £1,093.20/£20210 -

I thought of that, but there's names, addresses we've added to the phone, plus texts and calls and I can't see anything on the screen to be able to delete them. Also I phoned to register the phone - using that phone.
I really haven't a clue how he's done it. He's been lying on the sofa watching telly about 3 feet away from me - it's not like he's been out messing around with mates or hiding in his room!
All he keeps saying is "I don't know how it happened" - he may well be telling the truth though and it has just broken?:T*Thanks to all who posts comps * :j0 -
Hugs for everyone who is having a bad time at the moment xx Keep your chins up and try to

Toni your too clever:p
I've just read back over the last 10-15 pages. My DiL was taking tablets to help her have a baby. I'm not sure what they were cause she's in the U.S. After lots of heartbreak, she's managed to get to 25 weeks. I smile everytime I think of my new Grand-daughter to be. It's as if a weight has been lifted. Thinking of you and everyone else who's trying to concieve. (((hugs)))£2021 in 2021 no.17 £1,093.20/£20210 -
kisto, have you got house insurance that covers accidental damage?
A few years ago my dd dropped the phone off her lap straight into a mug of tea that was on the floor  we did have to pay excess but it was better than paying full price for a new one.0 -
:j I'm on the map too, I had to put Wandsworth because Battersea wasn't an option.0
