Does it sound like a scammer? The way he writes reminds me of them dodgey you have been left $10000000000 emails I get from Nigerians so am very wary

Didn't it include his user id? I always state payment within 7 days, so unless he had high feedback, I'd be tempted to reply and say you'd require payment sooner, and ask him not to bid if he couldn't comply
