Thanks to all who post the comps & please let the comping fairy sprinkle dust on my entries!
  • Can I just check that the ordering of the date in section 4b is dd-mm-yy? Mine is somewhat ambiguous and could be next month or four years time!

    Cheers

Anyone got any good ideas for repairing my 10 year old paper licence? It's torn into three pieces along the fold lines. I could use Sellotape to put it back together, but in time it will dry and peel off. I thought about getting it laminated but then if I get any endorsements it won't be possible to put them on. I really don't want the hassle of applying for and having to renew a plastic licence.

    Thanks.
  • Does anyone know if I am allowed to print my photo using my own camera and printer or do I need to folk out more money and use a photo booth? The renewal fee is now £20.
Money is not the root of all evil.
It depends on how you obtain it and how you use it.

The photo has to meet specific standards. All the details are on the Directgov site.

I did when I got mine many moons ago. If you use decent photo paper and have a half decent photo printer then I don't see you having any problems.

If you don't have a decent printer, use your digital camera to take a photo that meets the guidelines, and then take the memory card to ASDA who give you 10 passport-sized printouts for something like 60p.

If you have a current UK Digital Passport, appantly a digital passport has the signature and photo on the same page, they can use the image from that electronically captured from the Passport site.
