3 mobile contract cancellation mess

i got a problem with 3 mobile network, i got a call from 3rd party company offering me the contract i took up on the offer as my contract was running out, this was on the 4th of august and the next day i recieved the handset but did not like it and i found a better contract so i rang them up on the same day being the 5th of august to cancel, the person gave me an address to return the handset to, unfortunately i misplaced the address and rang them again but this time i was told someone from the customer service team will ring me back and give me the address (after he asked me bout the otehr contract i found and tellin me that they cant match it), however no1 rang me back and i totally forgot about it, until today when i got my bank statement and seen that da money had been debited out my account. so i rang back and i was told that i stil have the contract and have not cancelled it even tho they offered to buy out my existing contract with vodaphone. what do i do??? please helppp

  • have you used the phone you got from 3 yet? If it's still boxed up and you've not used the sim, and they have records of your call to say you wanted to cancel it. They may be able to do something out of goodwill.

    I started my contract with 3 the same way a few years back, cancelled it the next day, got the details to send the phone back. Then received a bill for calls made in England, the sim hadn't been used and was cut in half to ensure it couldn't be used. It took 3 months and letters from collection agencies before they finally cleared my account and cancelled it. I wouldn't go with them again.

    not used the phone or sim, they sayin they dont have a record of me cancelling the contract. i was told its cancelled and someone will ring back and give me an address to return the handset to but despite me callin a few times no one rang back, when i called yesterday they said they have no record of cancelling contract and its been over 14 days now so if i wish to cancel il have to pay the full 18 months despite me ringin to cancel the contract on the 6th of august (after recievin the phone/contract on 5th august)
