I do know Purley...and I hold its not an area I would choose to live, but each to their own, I do accept its got a lot of valuable new money there. I have a friend who is a topless model (at least thats the part of her job she tells her parents about)who lives in the area and loves it.
I'm not in the least bit jealous, as you would realise PP if you read my replies thouroughly-I'm pro home ownership, can't wait to be a homeowner mysef and fully anticipate living in a very nice house someday, but if it makes you feel better to think I am thats fine too.Its all fine by me, so long as you don't make be fence of the canals of Venice and my own garden pond. I admit that would ruffle my feathers.

Purley has some of the greenest, most beautiful views in the country.
It also has some of the grandest houses in the country.
Oh, and it's just 20 minutes from central London..............
I don't know, I'm a pretty observant sort of a bloke. The town centre just seemed like another place full of charity shops really, ruined by a superstore and residents that didn't have the imagination to shop anywhere else. I've been a few times and it seemed ok. A lot of big houses (and plenty of McMansions). Nothing special though, just another suburb.
I can't agree that Purley has some of the most beautiful views in the country. For example:0 -

My parents' house in Kent has 2 unfenced ponds near the house, and another further away. Now Isaac can reach to open the door, we keep a very close eye on him!...much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0 -

I know it as well, as my Granny lived in Chipstead (near by) and I wouldn't like to live there - far too surburban for my taste....much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0 -

Is it just me, or is this decor really weird? Spots on the floor, and distinctly un-matching curtains?
The whole house is pretty naff....much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0 -

"Hi there,

Many thanks in advance. "
