New item page layout - blimmin awful

Just clicked on that inviting link which says:

We're changing eBay! See how we're making a change for the better. Switch to the new version of this page

Unfortunately I did not realise the new "change for better" was just a new change for worse, as with any other eBay change I can ever remember.

Anyway...lets cut to my question, can I reverse back to the old and FAR BETTER layout or am I stuck?

Scroll down to bottom of page, click "opt out".

Ta-da!

Then log out when you have finished and clear cookies before you log back into ebay and keep selecting "opt out"

I wonder if ebay can monitor how many times the opt out button is used and actually do something about it...

It's quite a bit different, but how it actually improves anything I don't know.

I have to agree, I've just had a look and I'm not impressed.
My photos look OK but small, at the top of the page. There isn't one at the bottom and when you click the "view larger image" link, you get a pop-up box with a larger ie the same size photo people used to see at the bottom of the page. Only any in a landscape or square format is clipped/cropped/whatever you want to call it - part of the photo isn't there and you can't scroll anywhere to see it.

They are driving me nuts with their photos, the problem I had with them a few days ago turned out to be a 'glitch' their end.

thanks harveybobbles, i couldnt see that opt out link at first, maybe just me panicking at the sight of the disgusting layout. typical eBay, all "improvements" are negative.

I am looking at an item on which I have a bid and nowhere can I find where and when the auction ends! There's a very flashy countdown thing but that doesn't really help. Has the 'date/time ending' information now gone for good or am I being blind?

Sorry to ressurect an old thread but seemed better than starting a new one!

My ebay keeps changing to the new beta version.. I have always clicked the opt out to go back to old one but cant seem to find the opt out link now?!

Any ideas?

The change is permanent now, I believe it went live today.

I found the opt out button yesterday - type in something then select search and it should be at the bottom of the page. However the item page seems to have changed permanently :mad: . Also I have found that when viewing options on any items I have sold to get the buyers postal address the 'mark as dispatched' button isn't there - have to click right back or go to my ebay and mark it there. If i'm missing something please let me know because I know i'll forget to mark it and someone will end up getting double.
