I've never dealt with NWA before so im unsure if they are likely to honour the deal
.. i believe Delta airlines had a similar situation, earlier in the year and they honoured it.. so fingers crossed!

Has anyone had the money withdrawn from their accounts?
My one worry is the way Ryanair were able to recently argue that they were only bound to accept flights which they had sold directly.0 -
No money gone from me, what do you mean re:Ryanair?0

As of 2006 Northwest was the world's sixth largest airline in terms of domestic and international scheduled passenger miles flown and the U.S.'s sixth largest airline in terms of domestic passenger miles flown.[2] In addition to operating one of the largest domestic route networks in the U.S., Northwest carries more passengers across the Pacific Ocean (5.1 million in 2004) than any other U.S. carrier, and carries more domestic air cargo than any other American passenger airline.[3] It is the only U.S. combination carrier (passenger and cargo service) operating dedicated Boeing 747 freighters. The airline, along with its parent company, Northwest Airlines Corporation and subsidiaries, operated under Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection which, in the United States, allows continued operation during the reorganization effort, not cessation of flights as in the case in some countries. Northwest emerged from bankruptcy protection on May 31, 2007.
Northwest Airlines' regional flights are operated under the name Northwest Airlink by Mesaba Airlines, Pinnacle Airlines, and Compass Airlines. Northwest Airlines is currently a minority owner of Midwest Airlines, holding a 40% stake in the company.[4] Its frequent flyer program is called WorldPerks. Northwest Airlines' tagline is "Now you're flying smart."
On April 14, 2008, Northwest announced it will be merging with Delta Air Lines, subject to regulatory review. If approved, the new airline will retain only the Delta Air Lines name and brand, and become the largest airline in the world.[5][6]Bit of a Florida Fan :j

I haven't booked any flights but good luck to those who have.
A few years ago I needed to rent a car in the States and went through Thomas Cook. The thing is that the woman quoted me a ridiculous price which I suggested must have been for one week and not the two I required. She said no it was right and she would confirm with their American party. Needless to say she called back and said the quote was for a week.
Now to get to the reason behind this off topic post.
She then said that as I had been quoted a price that if I booked then and there they would honour it, so of course I did. I'm pretty sure she said this is how they operate in the States so I wouldn't give up hope I think you all have a good chance.0 -

No money gone from me, what do you mean re:Ryanair?
I just meant that if I were to have gone onto NWA's site and made the booking there, they had given me a price, I had accepted, they had confirmed then I would consider myself to have a watertight contract with them.
Last month Ryanair cancelled a swathe of bookings made through third party websites so I am wondering if NWA could pull the same trick with Expedia?
In any case, I can log onto NWA, see my flight, see that it is confirmed and it has the pricing details beneath so I think we are OK.
The trip to New York is to be a 1st wedding anniversary present for my wife.0 -
I have booked two flights to Boston from Manchester for next April -$778AUD- flights out with KLM/NWA flights back with Air France. I presume the prices include any fuel supplements as the Jetabroad email only cite NWA as having not included it.
Thanks to the OP for this link.:T0
