I finally got through to the search results again on jetabroad.com.au after being timed out. And all the prices have shot up by almost 1000 aud!!!! Well on my searches anyway.

thats my dream holiday out of the window. :(

Hopefully something similar may appear again.

Have a great holiday to all those who managed to get the deals!

Have you tried Orbitz? I gave up on Jetabroad. The site has too many technical glitches for my liking.

The US dollar isn't as weak as it used to be, but it's still much cheaper than booking in GBP.

    http://www.bestflights.com.au/ is still working

Hurry though as I can't see this loophole staying open for long.

  • Just phoned Jetabroad, who've said that they are waiting to find out if the airline is willing to honour the misspriced tickets...

so nothing deffinate yet... despite the ticket showing as confirmed on the amadeus website, they haven't charged my credit card yet.

Someone over at HUKD has found a way to get really cheap tickets to the USA when departing from the UK! Its such an insane deal that i had to post it here in case someone misses it. It works by going through the australian expedia site. An example is London to LA (LHR-LAX) £161 return!

    Expedia

    HUKD Original thread

went onto the expedia site yesterday, all was cool, great bargains, today...they have doubled their prices!!! Seems too many have booked and they have clocked on...very dissappointing, was looking forward to a great cheap flight to NY...yesterday was about A$299, now same dates are A$650!!..what a let down

As per one of my previous posts, the loophole still seems to be open if you book via http://www.bestflights.com.au/. It is a teeny bit more expensive than Expedia and Jetabroad, but the prices are still very cheap. Eg London to NY return is showing up as AU$317 (AU$336.53 including all booking fees)

Remember,if you have a Nationwide credit or debit card you will not be charged any conversion fees for foriegn transactions!.I am really tempted by this offer but my wife holds a Bulgarian passport and we would have to go to USA embassy in London to get visa(live in Aberdeen!).Thanks all posters on this thread- i bet there are a lot of happy people......Neil

We are writing to you to update the status of your recent Northwest Airlines booking request.
A series of trans-Atlantic airfares, which Northwest released in the past 24 hours, have been filed through the global reservation systems without the inclusion of a fuel surcharge. Unfortunately, we have now placed a hold on issuing your tickets as we are required to check with Northwest Airlines on how they wish to proceed with these bookings. Your credit card has not been charged and we apologise for the inconvenience. For booking requests using PayPal, these funds will not be transferred to the airline until this issue is resolved.

We are working with the airline to resolve this matter and we would hope to have more information on the status of these bookings within the next 72hours.

This posted on another thread... wonder if expedia will do the same.... hope not!
