I use Firefox 3 and only get 5 seconds (and I'm sure it was the same on 2 as well). When I first started using this forum the 'tool tips' really annoyed me. Now when I'm on a different forum I find myself hovering over the thread titles expecting to see a bit more.

Of course, the text has already downloaded into your browser - if you click on View > Source (should work on IE as well) and do a search for the thread title, you will see the text of the tool tip just above it.

So it is a bit resource heavy - wouldn't have been popular in dial-up days (and indeed, for those that still use dial up).

On that note, is there an option to turn this off? (And not download them.) I just had a quick look at the FAQ but couldn't see anything.

Opera is not restricted to 5secs. It will remain for as long as you hover.

I hover over post, take a "Screen Print" and then paste it into Paint. I've set a shortcut to Paint as Ctrl+Alt+P to start Paint quickly - Right click on Paint in Menu and select Properties, on Shortcut tab in Shortcut key: box hold down Ctrl+Alt+P then click OK.

Not an ideal solution but it works.

    I hope your joking :D

You could just click the thread title instead lol.
