When I reported this ebayer to power seller support, I suggested that the the figures should be clearly displayed for feeddback left for sellers, rather than having to click on a tab to view it.

It might also be good, although probably inpractical if sellers had the option of stopping bidders who say have left 'x' amount of negatives in the past month or something.
Soolin, do you actually work for ebay?

    No I don't.

Her ebay name shivon is the illiterate's way of spelling Siobhan, so she is probably from a long line of the challenged.

Nah, not even a powerseller anymore, I gave up big time selling when the pricing in proportion meant several of my lines were no longer cost effective to post.

We do have a high level powerseller on here anonymously though, but don't know who it is, I don't even have a clue, but certain things get pulled within an hour or two of a thread starting.

When you say high level powerseller, I take it you mean someone who works for ebay?

So if ebay are getting posts removed then that isn't really in the spirit of MSE.

A Powerseller DOES NOT WORK FOR EBAY.

Whatever gave you that stupid idea?

Yes I do know that, I just thought that soolin may have worded it wrong. Otherwise why would a powerseller be getting posts pulled off MSE?????

Items on auction are getting pulled after being mentioned on here, Powersellers have better coms with Ebay.

So it sounds like ebay do monitor MSE then.

Yes I do know about powersellers (I am one).

eBay do not routinely monitor web discussions, but I have seen eBay.inc based IP addresses on some of my websites' visitor stats.

The "problem" with eBay and MSE reporting is that it is entirely subjective. It only takes one person to get uptight and take a moral high ground on an issue, and the MSE abuse team, Trust and Safety on eBay listings, or Liveworld on ebay discussion boards will pull the post or listing. There is never any communication, nor any appeal.

On the eBay boards, this is known as "Button Pushing" or BP'ing.

To point the finger at one person, or suggest that it is a powerseller-led conspiracy is nothing more than speculation. I'd be more inclined to believe it is a small number of narrow minded, overtly-PC individuals who think they know what is best, right and proper, for the rest of the population and take offence on behalf of people who they think should be offended.
