BT Landline alternative
? I am an average £40/month BT user with standard phone line and payg internet. We have broadband on our exchange and wish to find a more cost effective phone provider, to include a broadband internet package without having to put in a code prior to dialling for phone calls. Looking at Martins suggestions Talk/talk seems the best package. Any others anyone?

Yes, Talk Talk is a good option because you retain your BT line. That means that you can dial 1280 in front of your numbers and force a call through BT if you think/know that a particular call is going to be cheaper through via BT. You can also route your calls via the myriad of other operators like 18866.com when it is cost-effective to do so, and more often than not, you'll find that it is. A daytime call to a UK landline with TalkTalk2 will cost you 2.7p per minute, whereas the same call via 18866.com will cost you 1p no matter how long you spend on the call.0

Yes thats fine & dandy but I know my wife who runs up the bill will not put in codes prior to dialling.
Thats why I'm looking for the most cost effective package without codes.0
