To juice or not? Is a juicer worth it/easy to clean?

  • I think it depends on the juicer that you buy.

My mum had a cheap one and it was a lot of hassle, however I managed to buy one on offer on Amazon Black Friday deals for my mother in law and she loves it. She said it's very easy, she just has to rinse a couple of parts after use in the mornings and leaves it on the side to dry off.

I think it can cost quite a bit to keep buying the fruit and veg (unless you don't mind that?), but if you have fruit trees in your garden, you get the reduced items from supermarkets or sometimes have food that's nearly past it's useful life, then a juicer is a great way of using them up.

Just for info, I bought a Phillips juicer that was £78, but £33 (I think) in the sale. The Amazon Black Friday sale is in November each year.

  • Gonna have to disagree with the majority here:) Our Omega vert gets used every single day for a fruit n veg juice, cost nearly 400 quid last xmas but by Christ it works well, never regretted getting it.only takes 2 mins to rinse under the hot tap and brush out the mesh.My extra weight dropped off me too which was a bonus!
