I have this one http://www.amazon.co.uk/Philips-HR1861-Aluminium-Juicer-Cleaning/dp/B0007XHGHA and use it twice a week
There's also http://www.amazon.co.uk/Philips-HR1858-91-Juicer-Litre/dp/B001HN6R24/ref=sr_1_1?s=kitchen&ie=UTF8&qid=1315556609&sr=1-1
John Lewis have their own brand one http://www.johnlewis.com/230994089/Product.aspx
Not sure if you did a lot of juice in one go, to reduce frequency of cleaning, if it would keep in the fridge very long, perhaps the more citrus ones would keep longer, apple would probably go off quicker.Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0 -
Thanks for those suggestions, I have just been looking at the Which reviews and think the Phillips seems to be the brand to go for at the mo.

Now why didn't I think of doing a search

Thanks!I wish I would take my own advice!0 -
I have a magimix one, and the cleaning is easy. I use it alot for winemaking so it has to churn through alot of fruit in one go. I got it on freecycle - a complete winner in my eyes.If you haven't got it - please don't flaunt it. TIA.0

Therein lies the answer. Having said that, my mum uses hers almost daily. Any fruit and veg that might otherwise go uneaten goes straight in there.Youdontseeme wrote: »What I really want is a Vitamix (note to self: stop watching shopping chanels!) but they are way more than I can afford at the moment.
But then she does have a double sink

Unless you have a glut of apples and want to make a litre of apple juice a day to drink immediately for something equally mad, I wouldn't bother! The juice doesn't keep long in the fridge, 3 days absolute max but best same or next day, so you can't do loads at once or it goes off. Still a pain to clean too.Living cheap in central London :rotfl:0

If you can get the good philips one on freecycle or say an unwanted present or a hardly used one, that would be the money saving way.Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0

I never seem to have much luck getting stuff from Freecycle but have spotted a Phillips on ebay which is still pretty cheap.
My problem is of course I want it NOW!!!
Thanks for all the help.

We have one but the tiny amount of juice that comes from the MASSIVE amount of fruit/veg is insane. Plus I hate wasting all that veg to end up with something without the fibre.
It was brand spanking new and quite expensive and after a few (noisey) uses and horrifyingly long washing up sessions it was banished to the attic! Lesson learned.0
