Absolutely Free!!
I see and hear this all the time. I just saw an advert for a large retailer stating that if you bought a certain sofa, you'll get another "Absolutely Free"
Same with just about anything else, get a top of the range mobile "Absolutely free" when you sign up.......etc.
Well, If I've got to buy something or sign up to something, It's not ABSOLUTELY free then is it! It is free with a purchase or some other committment on my part, not Absolutely free!
Why don't these companies say "At no additional charge!"
I'd really like to take on one of these companies and insist on having whatever they are advertising as Absolutely free by insisting that they have advertised an item on National television as Absolutely free, and therefore I will have the item advertised Absolutely free from any other obligations on my part! (Or did they just mean free with purchase)
I wonder if somebody would be successful in making a claim under the 'trades descriptions act' !! Maybe we should try it!

Adam and Joe did a great piece on this a while back. They went around stores attempting to eat the 20% free or whatever from various products, leaving the remainder on the shelf.
Well theres wierd drug fuelled reality distorting people everywhere. Did they also wash their hair with the 20% larger shampoo? :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:0 -

This "scam" is disgraceful, the Government should pass a Law stopping these shops "conning" people !!!
I am really worried now because yesterday I bought two bottles of fizzy apple juice in Waitrose on a "buy one, get one free" offer. Was this second bottle "absolutely free" or was it "at no additional charge" ?
I am so worried about this I might have to take them back and ask for clarification.
If I didn't take them back would they be safe to drink ?
Ye gods !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!0
