    Tell you what, I'll admit it too. There we are, he must be innocent, multiple people have admitted to it.

    Anyone can admit to anything from the comfort of their own home. If he really wanted to win the release of the convicted guy, then the confessor should return to Bulgaria and testify in court. Only then does it carry any legal weight. But, of course, that would require some moral courage and a willingness to accept the punishment for the crime.
