Hi, we've had our ektorps (2x two seaters) for about 7 years now.

As others have said - the removeable covers are fantastic - I haven't found any stains that couldn't be removed. As soon as the covers are washed and put back on the cushion pads, the sofa feels brand new again!

IMO they are brilliant value and certainly up to the job!

We have two of the three seater leather Ektorp sofas. We have had them three years or so and they are still in great condition. We thought they were great value ,very comfortable and delivered really quickly (next day in my case)I tend to research for ages before purchasing anything (Im mean with my money ha ha ha ! ) and was impressed that the Ikea Ektorp sofa looked very similar to a sofa that was made by Heals at the time - there were few differences -mainly the price !! Ikeas version was about a 1/4 of the price of the Heals version , hope this helps

    Hi,

Have dug up an old thread as I need a new sofa and armchair and am considering the Ektorp from Ikea, I like the simple style and the idea of washable covers, although eating in the living room will probably be banned if I get them!
Anybody purchased one more recently - does the quality appear the same? Also, any idea how long they have carried the range for - removable covers look like a great idea for when you want to redecorate!

    Thanks
