doesnt anyone find that leather is too cold in winter and makes you go all sweaty in the summer if your skin is directly in contact with it?

I do, so I use a fleecey throw to sit on.

    Hello,

We are considering buying the Ektorp Ikea sofa in leather in the next couple of weeks. Does anyone have any feedback on these sofas? Are they any good? Would you buy one again?

Would be grateful for any feedback (good or bad) before we go and buy one!

    Many thanks!

did you get your sofa yet ? I am thinking of buying the same one on leather as well

  • We bought 2 black leather sofas from Ikea over 4 years ago and they've been great. We sit on them daily and they look like brand new.

As for the cold leather problem - some of the throws and blankets that Ikea do aren't big enough, so my solution was to buy a couple of cheap cotton bedspreads (from Ikea!), dye them in the washing machine and use them instead - they're great and don't fall off!
  • we have had ikea leather sofa for about 3 years and it still looks great.they were a bit firm to start with.but we soon wore them in

  • We got the corner Ektorp one with removable covers and a sofa bed built into one side. It is THE most comfortable sofa bed anywhere.
Sofa great too, after 3 or 4 years. We got it out the clearance bit and bought covers. Bargain!!

  • We have the Ektorp corner suite with removeable covers. Had it a year, very comfy and the covers wash well without shrinkage. Would definately recommend.

Hi- I'm having the leather Ektorp 3 -seater and 2 seater sofas delivered sometime on Monday, so I'll write more on the thread then, but when we went to view them in store they seemed really nice. I like the fact that they are guaranteed for 10 years too.

I did like the Vreta sofas in Ikea - they were really lovely - but rather large so wouldn't have fitted round the corner into our living room, so decided against them in the end.
