e.bay are getting worse much worse ...

this makes me laugh ,, i sold a nintendo ds + 30 games for £125.00 the buyer has paid threw pay-pal ,, so ive just been into my pay-pal account and it says the funds are on hold untill i receive possitive feedback or either its been 21 days after the purchase with no problems,,, then the funds will clear in my account,,,, i phoned pay-pal and they said e.bay do this now and again ,,, so what e.bay expect is for me to send the item and wait for possitive feedback or wait 21 days then the funds will be fully cleared to use,, well all i can say is that unless i see that payment fully cleared then sorry to say im not posting nothing ,, i reckon e.bays policys are a joke bad ,,,:confused::confused::confused: serious would you post the item ? ????

You're paying paypal for a service that they are not providing.

If more of us stood up ebay/paypal would not thake liberties such as this...

must admit i think i would refund and risk a neg
just too risky and paypals requirement of feedback seem a bit ambiguous tbh
what happens if no feedback is left for example?

It is standard practice in certain categories now. It doesn't mean that the payment hasn't cleared from the buyers end, it just means paypal won't release it to you yet. You are going to be told the same thing whoever the buyer is so there's no point in refunding & relisting, you either have to accept the terms or sell it somewhere other than ebay.

If no feedback is left then the funds will be released after 21 days.

  • Wow that could be risky! whats the buyers feedback like? If it is good then I would do it... otherwise I would refund and explain :o

i bet the guy who came up with that idea at paypal is on a good bonus.

all that free interest they're accumulating whilst they have your money on hold.

I wouldnt send it. just the other day I sold a ps3 was paid for the item the money was put on hold and then i was told it was an unauthorised payment.

If I had of sent it I would have been £275 quid down (however the sender had an unverified address) You would have seller protection as long as its a verified seller but have no idea how easy it would be to claim it back... probably not too easily!!)

I find ebay and paypal a joke to be honest but havent found any other sites that are any better!

    Hi,
I've been doing a bit of reading recently about Ebay whether it be guilty until proven innocent, the charges for small folk and for small shops etc and it's quite daunting. I read the article written by sky about ebid and am now in the process of moving, I'm hoping I just have to list the whole lot once and that'd be it - thank goodness, as with ebay I could just hit the relist button and the job was done.. I had a look at my feedback on ebay and - it's actually quite good considering I got the boot, I haven't sold/bought anything on ebid yet - mind you it has only been a couple of days, my guess is that it will be the 'new ebay' pretty soon

anyone else moving over to ebid?

every rival bid site that pops up proclaims to be the new ebay

thing is, most people haven't heard of it, so i'm guessing (and i'm willing to be corrected) that sales wont be as high
