    Hi all

Hope everyone is enjoying the bank holiday. I am at work today though!

The last 2 days have been terrible for me DFW wise, I really need to get a grip, I don't know what happened to me, but now I will have to watch every single penny for the month. It is still do-able but really annoyed with myself, think its just with being so good for sooooo long it was in-evitable at some point.

    Anyway today I have:

Made my own lunch (OH was supposed to do his too with chicken I cooked last night but he slept in!)
Checked online banking (reminded me of how much I spent at weekend!)
2 smallest boys at grannies for lunch (so saved a bit there)

Got chicken in fridge for chicken curry tonight, so easy supper tonight, so no need to get take out (its soo easy just to get a take out on a Monday because this is my full-time at work/less organised day at home)

    Will check pigsback
Got a PTA meeting tonight, but am determined that I will at least get the photos taken of the stuff I want listed on ebay. Does anybody know if there is a cheap listing day coming up any time soon.

I may look around for some more survey sites, yougov and ciao don't seem to be makin me much extra cash (Ciao especially - I never seem to qualify! )

Good luck MSE'in everybody else x

    Afternoon All :hello:
Sophiemum I finally made it to a Boot Fair, but have vowed never again. :D

    Today I have/will:
    • Done a Boot Fair this morning, not a lucrative way of earning money. But £21.50 more than I had this morning and a fairly pleasant if cold way of spending 5 hours with a friend :rotfl:
    • DS2 was disappointed that I wouldn't let him finish the ham from yesterday, but today we'll have ham'n'peas'n'pasta and the freezer will gain a ham & leek pie. :D
    • Made a loaf in the BM
    • Ran a free virus check. (We do have internet security, but apparently no one program does it all  so I back it up with a free scan & eradicate program)
    • Will Skype OH tonight.
    • a NSD (pitch fee doesn't count???)
I hope everyone has had a fun day?

Kalojak, i wouldn't worry too much about it, sometimes when people start off on the dfw journey they make things a bit too tight for themselves and then feel awful if they don't stick to it. It's a case of everything in moderation and two days out of a whole week/month/whatever is still very good going!

As for survey sites, i recommend you try out global test market, i've had several £25 payments out of them. Also valued opinions and toluna which is also known as test and vote.

Well on top of all my other things i have done today, i have also:
-Put away second lot of washed pots, think i'm giving Cinderella a run for her money!
    -Bleached the sink
-Have done three loads of washing and got them all hanging up outside
-Have stripped foreign students room and put all bedding etc into wash
-Have picked some great containers out of the bin that our foreign student was throwing out, they were the sealable container, it was only our recycling bin, so no need to be shocked!!

Definitely a productive day for me!!

Morning all, nice to see a few familiar faces returning. Candy, how is your new job going?

Thanks for asking. The job is going well, I am much less stressed (something which hubby loves). The only downside is the early mornings, having said that I am enjoying being home at 5:15 in the evening.

The best thing about the job is that I am able to wear jeans and trainers to work every day, and on Friday I was asked to pick a mobile to the value of £250 (discussed this with hubby over lunch we work together) and ended up going for one that cost £90 - that will be ordered on Tuesday.

Also, becuase of this job, I am spending so much on coffee/lunch/bits 'n' bobs etc. Yesterday, I went to Mr T's and bought loads of tupperware and a flask, and will sit down and have a bought in breakfast rather than spending £1.60 on a latte and £3 on a sandwich (at 7:30am).

Quick update on today's trip to town. I spend £0 :j, and I have just checked online, and the holiday that I have been tracking is down to £211 :j with 3 weeks til we take off (might go down about 2-3 days before and book the holiday)

Enjoy the rest of the day
