Monday 25/08/08 What small dfw things have you done today???

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.

But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free.

Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.

So be proud of those small steps, they really are important.

Today I will:
  • update spreadsheets
  • check online banking
  • do clicks
  • Make a loaf in breadmaker
  • Storecupboard tea
  • Swim and jacuzzi to use gym membership
  • cook brunch for oldies at work and eat for free
good morning everyone:D Enjoy the bank holiday. Just about to leave for the gym for an early morning swim and jacuzzi, doing full english brunch for the oldies at work later so need to build up an appetite;)
Hi to all the regulars and welcome to any new posters:D

OliveOyl hope you made it to the car boot sale today;)

Hi Sophiesmum and everyone who posts today

Cant believe that this is the last bank holiday til Christmas!

    Today I will.....
    • Try to have a LSD, me and hubby are popping into town later this morning. I dont actually need anything, but fancy a mooch around.
    • Later I might go Blackberrying - free food for Christmas
    • Keep an eye on the holiday that I want to book - have budgeted for a week in the sun with Hubby (last holiday together was 5 years ago!). The price keeps on going up - why??? However, I am doing last minute and shopping around for cheapest insurance etc to make the holiday as cheap as anything.
    Have a great day

Morning all, nice to see a few familiar faces returning. Candy, how is your new job going?

Well i was meant to be mystery shopping today, but have gone and rescheduled them as am feeling a bit tired and under the weather, plus its bank holiday and the buses put on a rubbish service, so it would be twice as hard to get anywhere, so have scheduled them for later in the week.

    Today i have/will:
-Had a lovely lie in, at least it saved electricity!!
-Put away and then washed next lot of pots whilst we have some hot water
-Will enter all comps ending today

-Will sort out the seven mystery shops for tomorrow
    -Will do daily clicks
-WILL DO SOME SLICE THE PIE

    -Check on internet banking
    -Look for a matched bet
-Work out my finances, hoping my money will last till the end of the month at least
    -Continue reading counselling books

    -Continue working through business info
-Continue cutting up printed info and putting in right wallets

-Look into the voluntary play therapy work
-Post off enrolment forms for mini self awareness courses i have seen
    -Obviously work on my website!!
-Put away dry clothes that are sat here
-Iron the ones that need ironing
-Continue with order for vista print, need to design referral cards
-Do any surveys i may receive
    -Upload shop and scanner
    -Make meals from store cupboard
-Look at how to make lemon curd tarts
-Look on freecycle for a microwave!
-Look for more mystery shops - Have picked up two more jobs
-Type up invoice for my cleaning job
    -Sort through emails
    -Write in counselling journal
-Transfer some money for payment a day challenge
    -Tidy up my bedroom!!

Have a great day everyone, hope the bank holiday is productive and enjoyable.
