i got a samsung digimax 420 2 years ago, only 4mp but had the video record. if this new samsung one is anything like what i got, people are getting a bargain, i take photos of my son and other things, mainly printed in a4 size photo. the quality is great. the one thing i would say and i didnt think it would be improtant at the time was how fast can you take a second picture ( im not incluing photo bursts), even with a x 66 sd card it is painfully slow when i see a photo opportunity and miss a shot, it takes an age to save the image and let me take another.

apart from that it was bang on and has served its purpose very well indeed.

couldnt do without it now i have to say.

Took the Samsung U-CA5 out of the box earlier today.
Seems very nice. Shot some video footage. Quality appeared crisp and clear.

    Unbeatable at £75.

If you bought the Samsung U-CA5 you will need a decent sized SD card - Play.com do a 512MB one for £17.99 including delivery (or £12.99 if you use your £5 voucher ;) ) Got mine ordered for my daughter's camera.

Bought a High Speed(50x) Kingston SD card for mine.

If you would like a spare battery, ebuyer stock a Samsung travel kit. Consisting of a box with a Samsung SLB 1137 Lithium Ion battery, a telescopic metal mini tripod(fully adjustable from 9 to 16cm), a camera case(fits the U CA5 perfectly) and a lens cleaning cloth for £9.99 plus p&p.

    Play.com supply Integral cards.
    They look ok.
5 year warranty compared to 10 for Sandisk and Unlimited for Kingston.

I wouldn't worry. In five years these cards will be worth pennies anyway.

I don't mind. If mine fails in 15 years time, they might replace it with their mid-size 532x 5 GB card. ;)
