Dear ian
This is to inform you that at a recent meeting of The Cattle Grid Membership Sub-Committee at an undisclosed location, your application for membership was considered in some depth.
The Minutes of the meeting record the discussion as follows:
“An application for Fellowship was considered from ian of normanton. Following discussion of the candidate’s merits, a vote was taken, and, with the result 7-2, it has been agreed that ian should heretoforward be granted Fellowship status in the Cattle Grid.”
Accordingly, we have agreed to your Fellowship of our Grid – and I would like to formally welcome you to our virtual extended family of CRAVENDALE® obsessives.
One final note. As our mission is a highly covert one, you are unlikely to meet another Fellow in person. If you do, please do not attempt to make any mooing noises or Friesian impressions, lest it should send him or her into toxic shock. Thank you.
Welcome aboard. And don’t forget - we are relying on you.
Yours in CRAVENDALE®
