    morning all.

Not feeling fab today. My back is killing me - even more than I normally have to put up with, which isn't helped knowing I need to sit here working all day on AQA.

Remember when I was going to book the holiday and I predicted OH would start saying 'we aren't going on holiday unless you weigh x?' well, I should be picking lottery numbers because the circle of conversations we seem to have shifted back round to that one last night. I informed him I'd lost 6 pounds last week and then got back 'yeah, but how much did you put on first, this is the heaviest you've ever been ' (another of his one-liners trotted out with this conversation, so I knew it was coming).

I basically told him to shut up and that if he was going to think such nasty things, then the best thing to do was to keep his mouth shut and think them, not say them.

Think I got through to him, he was then all sweetness and light........

BB, that is horrible! :( I agree with Bob, or tell him unless he's nice to you you're going without him!

Ooh that's made me angry

  • Honestly BB,
That is just so hurtful. It is mental cruelty.

Personally, I dont think any of would go down for GBH if we dealt with it!

Hey remember that song I was posting the lyrics for last night; Patches by Clarence Carter. Well i was thinking about mi son when I was listening to it but anyway, my mate's wife mate's husband died the other week leaving a wife and 2 children. He was a policeman btw and it has added poignancy for me. Anyway the song,Patches, (in case you didnt know lol) is about a hard working father who dies and tells his son (Patches) that he must look after the family for him and make sure they are ok. Very very sad I think.

Patches, Im depending on you Son
    To pull the family through,
    Its all up to you.

    xx

Seems to be lots of deaths at the moment.
I was told this morning that our friend's 2 week old baby boy died during the night last night.

It's easy to give in to that negative voice that chants "cant do it" BUT we lift each other up.
We dont count all the runners ahead of us & feel intimidated.
Instead we look back proudly at our journey, our personal struggle & determination & remember that there are those that never even attempt to reach the starting line.

I know, I can't imagine what on earth they are going through right now, we received the news this morning.
I'm in a kind of shock today, just can't think straight.
