See now that is exactly the sense in which I posted, with a sense of humour. I've pretended to be into extreme sports, loads of stuff.
I have not faked any details anywhere.
And I'd love to win one of the runner up prizes, I have a lady who could do with one of those.0 -
I will be avoiding this one as i dont have diabetes. My father and late gran did and I see what they go through. I thinks its only fair to leave this one to people who use it. I recently went into remission from cancer in April at 28 therefore I can totally see why you are getting mad. If I found out someone had claimed to have suffered this to enter a comp I would probably be pretty mad. Much love and hugs
Will xJuly- £1787 , Aug- Ipod shuffle, a broken world book, vimto cluedo, 1x brothers cider, - £900 -
Thanks for this.I've ordered my diabetic travel pack.I'd be happy to win the runners up wallet for my insulin.xx:j0

I just wanted to add my bit and agree that it is unfair to enter this competition if you don't have diabetes. With 200 runner up prizes specifically for diabetics it is likely that if heaps of people without diabetes enter a lot would go to people who don't need them. I have known a few people who suffer from diabetes and it is a horrible thing to have to live with.
Personally I don't enter any competitions where I have to lie, including things like having kids, being over 50 or being a student, even if I really want the prize. I might enter competitions on sites where I am not really interested in the site itself though e.g. I would enter a competition on an extreme sports site but not if say it asked what extreme sports I am into, if that makes sense!0 -
I always thank OPs for comps whether I enter or not. Its hard work finding and posting comps and I like to acknowledge that. I have to say I agree its not very nice to enter this comp if you are not diabetic or have diabetic friends or relatives that these giveaways could help. I didnt enter but have sent the link to some people who may benefit from this.
I have to admit to sometimes posing as a bride to be to enter comps , my OH has had palpitations before now when we have recieved emails from wedding websites. On the 29th February he was like a cat on a hot tin roof .....poor loveMany thanks to the wonderful staff at Birmingham Childrens Hospital caring for my tiny and very poorly grandson who was born at 29 weeks. Thanks to them he is getting a little stronger every day.:A:A:A0
