I phoned today as I didn't want to be disappointed on getting there and finding they'd sold out. They guy on the phone first of all said they could order one for me and that I'd have to pay full price of £39. He then said he'd check to see if they could order without paying extra and low & behold he then told me they could and that I'd only be paying the sale price also.

I ordered 2 as I wanted to get one for my Mum, as I've mentioned earlier, and these should be in store on Monday after 1pm. You'll have to go in store to order though, but make sure you phone first to see if they are in stock.

Got to Lincoln today and they didn't want to honour the 17.99 price but a little bit of assertiveness e.g. "can you write that you have just refused me?" lo and behold I got it at 17.99. Good quality as well, I then tried getting another but same problems as above. Thanks to OP

I picked up 2 of them last Saturday from the Northampton Riverside branch. I will use one of them to give away as a present.
I had to place 2 seperate orders as it only allowed 1 per order.

I tried to order one of these when first posted for £17.99. It was coming up as not available for collection in any of my local branches so I forgot about it. When the thread came up again I thought I'd try again and, lo and behold, there is now one available! Needless to say I have reserved and will collect later today. Shame it's now at £19.99 but it's still a good price.

Anyone in the Glasgow area looking for this product should not have a problem. I was going to reserve one at the PAISLEY store, which has them in stock...but thought I'd pop to my local Comet at GREAT WESTERN RETAIL PARK on Great Wesern Road which showed as unavailable for 'collect at store'... but they had some, one of which I bought. While I was in there I also picked up a nice aluminium carry box for the Nintendo DS for £1 out of the bargain bin (a genuine Nintendo product that I reckon would cost about £15 normally) and I was tempted by a Fujitsu 15.4" widescreen, dual-core laptop at £275 which looks a cracking buy...it should still be there!

Just in case you're unlucky enough to live in an area where the Roberts one has sold out - Currys and Dixons are both doing a cheapy Matsui portable DAB radio for £19.99. Spec not as good as the Roberts one (no FM tuner), but for those who want a cheap DAB radio for chucking in the car/listening to Leeds Utd matches (coverage now only on DAB - grrrrrrrrrr!) it'll do the job.

There is also a current promotion advertised on the Dixons website where the code "5DAB" will get you a further 5% off.

Its a nice little radio with good sound. I am getting another as a present. Still available reserve and collect in Watford and Hatfield.

Reserved a Roberts one in the Bradford store - or at least I thought I had!! When I gave the assistant my reservation number they had e-mailed to me, she went and got one off the shelf!!! Anyway for anyone in the Bradford area looking for one, there were quite a few still in stock at Forster Square Retail Park.
