I have been to Nandos a few times, and generally liked it. But on the last 2 occasions I found that the service was really slow and the food not warm..On the last occasion I complained that it had taken 25 minutes to serve main course and I watched the hot food build up under the hot plates for ages before the floor staff took it to the tables. Seemed like no-one wanted to serve the tables. When my food arrived, the chips and the chicken were not hot so I was given new food which took only 5 mins to come piping hot, I was also given vouchers for two free meals the next time I came. I must say that I do like Nandos and found the staff to be pleasant but not quick.

Chilis are still offering free meals this evening.

So far, it has been free 2 course meal (starter & main or main & dessert) and I believe this is what they are still offering today. You pay for any drinks and addititonal food you want.

emailed them yesterday and went last night, food was really nice
but when they showed us what it would have cost - £40 for 2 adults 2 course meals and soft drinks, kinda thinking it'll be a special occassion
only for me, unless they're doing meal offers etc

I asked on the way out if they were still doing it, they said tonight
is VIP night (Belfast Giants) as official opening is tomorrow

I was passing and they came out, said they were closed, but showed me the menu. They did give me a voucher for 25% off a meal for 4. Kids meals I think were 2.85. She did say soft drinks were £1.25 for kids with as many refills as you want. Voucher also gets 20% of Odeon on Monday and Wednesday for 4 adults.

Think that's it for the freebies from Chilis now...tonight is VIPs by invitation only and tomorrow is official opening. Still haven't tried it myself but the menu looks good and the feedback so far is positive...although I did think it was a bit pricey when I first saw the menu!

The same company are due to open an Italian restaurant (Maggiano's) in Victoria Square soon...might be worth keeping an eye out to see if they will be doing similar offers prior to their official opening.

what I did spot was Chinese Buffet King was opening beside them, now that'll be more my style lol!!
