Chilis Victoria Square

Free lunch at Chilis Victoria Square:j

Yesterday hubby, kids and I headed up to Victoria Square. Decided to have lunch at Nandos (not very nice by the way), however as we were heading back down in the lift we spotted Chilis - so excited and gutted we hadn't spotted it first. We love Chilis when we head to the US so we thought we would pop over and see the menu.

As it turned out Chilis isn't opening until Thurs 28th Aug but they were offering members of the public FREE food and drinks (non-alcoholic) to assit with staff training. Bagged ourselves an invite for today lunchtime.

Arrived at 12.50 today and got our free lunch, free chocolate cake, free ice cream for the kids and a free Tequila Sunrise :j :j . Service was good and no longer waiting time than in a normal restaurant. The food was great and the chocolate cake to die for.

Don't know if they are operating the staff training until the opening but if you are in the area check it out.

    Hi BOBS
Wasn't nice at all. The 'check out' girl was really rude - apparently she didn't speak my language me bein from Northern Ireland and all - although her accent was pretty much the same if not a little harsher:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
The food was awful - cold chicken all round 2 adults & 2 kids - the server was a little more nice"er" but I really wouldn't return....all in all a medicore experience
  • I like Nandos, have been to the one at Victoria Square and found the food and service to be good.

A friend of mine is currently one of those people undergoing staff training for Chilis...they have been tasting all the food as part of their training and she says it's really good. I knew they were doing the free lunch thing yesterday but didn't know it was continuing today....I'll try to find out if it's likely to go on until official opening.

I found the food, service and presentation in Nandos Belfast very poor. Don't go for the Chicken Caesar Salad as you'll end up with a bowl of lettuce that's not even fresh!

I hate to say it but the branches in England are much better.
