Making mistakes is fine, we've all done it. I just had to pay ulster bank £30 for not repaying my stoozing money in time ... but I'm not blaming them, they're playing by the rules .... I think what we're pointing out is that you have to take responsibility for where it goes wrong so that you learn from it. Blaming the companies won't get you anywhere...

My God there really are some pathetic people on here, I didnt realise I was going to be lectured on how I should know better blah blah, yes your all converts in Martins little world, you've paid the reaper, remember some of us are normal consumers in the financial world, im not having any financial problems, earn a good wage and on the whole am commercially astute but occasionally we all get stung dont we.
Dont anyone give me this bull about taking responsibilty etc

...will it be added to the transfer amount or will it be charged as a new purchase which will mean I will pay interest on it with in a matter of a few months unlike the transfer which is 0% for a year.
I think you need to read your T&C's because it's all explained in there. Take a read and come back with anything you don't understand.

In short though, your first payment will be around 3% of the balance (which is the amount BT'd plus the BT fee). Second and subsequent minimum payments will be £25 during the intro period.

You will (technically) pay interest on the BT fee...BUT the interest rate charged is 0%. :)

If you continue to post, could you do so without the obsenities please?

Well I guess trying to help you was another mistake I made - don't worry, I tend not to make them more than once.

Yes, you, particularly with your abusive responses (which have been reported).
    the whole am commercially astute
I don't think you've quite displayed that here. The BT fee is part of the deal; it's very clear and if you didn't want to incur it, you shouldn't have requested the BT.

So! You're a "normal consumer" and you are commercially astute, so how come you got stung?

You think it's "bull" that you should take responsibility?

Have you told all this to the people that you sign on to?

OP is either a complete and utter moron or a troll. 50/50 really.

Is there a w*nker smilie on here? I suspect you would be the person who could advise me on this?

There is only one w*nker on this thread Sir and if you look in the mirror, he will be staring you in the face.

Inflation is 5% per year. If your BT fee is less than 5% then you profit from the BT - IF you are smart enough to follow the rules.

Goodbye and thank you for your valuable contribution to the forum.

I have an outstanding CCJ from over 2 years ago, i need a small loan of approx £4k to buy a car though, who should i approach to get this?

I dont want to apply for loads of loans and get turned down so ideally a broker would be good or someone who accepts chumps like me! :j

Im being chased for a student loan from pre 98 by Buchanan Clark and Wells, they say they can put a bank arrest and salary arrest so money will be automatically taken away?!

They want about £150 a month but this they say does not decrease the loan amount and is not interest either?! So I will be making payments that will never stop.

What can I do? Any lawyers of solicitor firms that can help me?
In your shoes, I'd be grateful (and surprised) that Virgin would give me a credit card never mind letting me have a 0% BT. Are you really sure you should be doing this with your history?
  • I always wondered how one gets to be financialy astute. I have no chance then, I have no-one chasing me for an old debt, I have no-one with a CCJ against me, and I am not trying to borrow more money to buy a car. Ah well, back to the grind-stone and just keep paying my bills as I always try to do.
