I completely agree with everyone (except Horseinhatman!!). if you start sharing with people who havent contributed where is the incentive to contribute?!! You may as well not join in and you'll still get a share of the winnings anyway!!!
Can you speak to the other 11 who were bullied with you and stand up for yourselves together?0 -

If its true, then shame on you Mrs Scroodge
£15 paid off a debt could add up to hundreds in saved interest. Shame on YOU - call youself a DFW??!0 -

Infact, we play euromillions at work every so often, and I have an online account so tend to put it on when we play, yet some people are like 'ooo I've got no change, can you sub me til Monday' etc and I do, but you can garuntee that I never see their £1.50. I'm doing it today, and I am gonna refuse to put in for anyone cos why should I sub people, what on earth would I do if we won? I mean, they couldn't be bothered to give me £1.50, why should I give them their winnings?!
exaclty IWantToBeFree.
and if you guys did win, would you get their "share" of the cash?
and, if you did win, would you give them £xx,xxx, xxx etc in return for their £1.50? cos thats what they'd expect
here's how it would go:Person_A wrote:i said i'd give you the money for the ticket on mondayPerson_B wrote:yeah but i bought the ticket, its mines and im not selling it to you after the draw knowing that its a winning ticketPerson_A wrote:yeah but i said i'd buy it
and so it goes on. Person B should have stumped up the cash other than waiting till monday to see if they won and then not giving you the £1.50 when they learn they didnt win.

i play in a syndicate at work & we have all signed a contract to say that if we don't pay then we dont get anything if we win anything that week, i think we got that from the lottery website, saves any arguments.

I must be honest. I wouldn't even bother talking to the others about it. I would be banging off an email to the people that run it stating that I will not be donating and when can I have all my cash please. No discussion. If anyone asks then I would tell them thats what I have done.
My money. Give it to me please. To whom I donate is my business and not anyone elses.
And I wouldn't play with that syndicate again!!0 -
ignore horseinhatman, it seems he/she has had various names and keeps geting PPR'd.

Hi doom,
I used to be in a lotto syndicate at work, and was away ill one week so couldnt pay my money, they won and no one offered me any of the winnings and to be totally honest i wouldnt have expected them to!!! As the saying goes, "you have to be in it to win it"
So i dont blame you for being p'd off,I also think the idea of having a lotto contract drawn up is really good.A freebie a day sends a smile my way!
