Strawberry & raspberry....my fav is blackberry crumble (because its very sharp). Pick fruits in season, bung in the freezer and use as and when you want a crumble.

    Plum crumble = scrummy.
I'd rather be a could-be if I cannot be an are; because a could-be is a maybe who is reaching for a star. I'd rather be a has-been than a might-have-been, by far; for a might have-been has never been, but a has was once an are – Milton Berle

I have been using brambles which I picked and froze earlier this year.

    How about mincemeat?
    Pears?

Making a flan rather than a pie?

Have you tried adding sultana's to the apples?

    Another thread suggested pinapple crumble.
