Sorry to hear you have been having difficulties and hope things sort themselves out for you. I would recommend that you change phone companies immediately. Also you can still dial 999 despite any restrictions - so rest assured about that if you did (which I hope you don't) need to contact the emergency services0

Not a helpful recommendation.
BT won't release emandden to another company till the outstanding bill(s) are paid!
Get in touch with them and try to arrange a payment plan - they are within their rights to not allow you any more credit in the face of your debt to them.0 -
Am sorry the above did not think my reply was helpful! I actually do realise what was said about having to settle first and meant change once sorted. I thought the info re 999 was helpful actually.
BT will give you more time to pay your bill if you phone them and ask for that. Good luck!0 -
any reminders? usually restored to full service when bill is paid- also do the labourious (150?) options, to advise 'i paid my bill' thing too..Long time away from MSE, been dealing real life stuff..
Sometimes seen lurking on the compers forum :-)0 -
I am not sure what good you think changing companies will do - VM will also apply call barring if you do not pay your bill.Gone ... or have I?0

the funny thing is that i called bt with my bank card to make a payment...my card would not work and then i could not phone the bank to find out why.they wouldnt even put my phone on for me for half an hour to get it sorted!!!and i am in the process of leaving them at the moment anyway as im fed up with them0
-
If your bank card didn't work then it may be lack of available funds in the account that has triggered this in the first place, is the card for the same account that you pay your bill out of? BT will not put your phone on for 30mins so you can call the bank as you may need longer than that anyway and you have already failed to pay a bill fully and on time. Can you not borrow a neighbours phone to call the bank?0
-
yeah its all getting sorted now.it just makes me laugh that they knew i was having problems and just cut me off without letting me know.just another moan in a long line of problems ive had with bt0
-
I don't see the problem here. You failed to pay your bill? They're not a charity.0

could anyone else in your household be hiding bills, reminders, final demands
its unlikely that BT would cut you off just like that, sorry but its all a bit sussmake the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0
