For anyone making these....
Went into to Tescos Yesterday and they had white school socks (Pk of 6) for £1.25 (down from £3 a Pk) Picked a few packs up for making the snowmen.
Thought it was a good price.

shall add to my list-they look sweet and quite easy.I wonder if l should use rice for stability or stick to stuffing with plyester in case a child gets it.Any thoughts??:j this money saving is such fun:T0

Think I would stick to rice as thats what will make it stand upright and provide the extra weight in the base. I think its like all xmas ornaments they're not always safe for a child to play with so we just have to be careful and maybe keep them out of reach of small hands

Hi sharon59 - I'm sorry I can't give you the pattern as my mam makes them for me, but I will ask her if she can maybe write it down as I know she doesn't normally work from a pattern. I can then post it on here for you or send you a pm;)Feb GC £80 per week (Well I'm gunna try:whistle:)
