New Baby Present - Advice needed

Hi,
I like the idea of the little socks too as a little interim pressie until baby comes home. If you want to make it even more special and that you've really put some thought into it have a go at a box of sock cupcakes! Have a look at the piccie below, I did these my first attempt at the weekend with some elastic bands, cake cases and some socks. The box below also has a little hat, bib and scratch mitts in. It took me less than half an hour to do and is soooo easy! you literally just roll the bits up then secure with a band and sort of fluff the tops out a bit! I am sure your friend would love something like this, thoughtful, practical and to know that you've made an extra special effort will really show her how much you are thinking of her and baby. I'm sure I've seen socks in places like Mothercare that do either "tiny baby" or "premature baby" sizes.

Just found this website which may be of use www.peenyweeny.co.uk might be nice if baby had some nice bodysuits or something as everyone including Mum would have bought bigger clothes. Just a thought.

Hi
I'm probably a bit late with this, but I saw some baby socks for premature babies in a large Boots store last week (it was the Kensington High Street branch, but I'm sure other large stores with baby clothes depts will have them, too). They were absolutely tiny and very sweet - they had a whole range of tiny prem baby clothes which were quite cute, so if you haven't already managed to find anything, it may be worth looking there.
(I did try the Boots.com website, but it is currently down for maintenance...!).
