Anytime I have phoned them both for personal or work reasons I have got someone in England
I personally find the India argument is also used by ignorant people who are either small minded bigots or are trying to insinuate race is the reason they dont get the resolution they want as opposed to their inaptitude/breach of contract/genuine issue0 -
Well it's on behalf of a colleague who hasn't been able to get his point across about an issue on his bill.0

tell him to pop into his local BT shop, but avoid towns with a non-english population.
else he could try shouting louder as foreigners then seem to understand better0 -
Well they have had a number of charges on their bill when trying to ring abroad, but not actually being able to connect. He has spoken to people, asked to be called back as he was going round in circles and nobody has returned his call0

1. Ring first thing in the morning at 8am or whenever they open. For some reason with a lot of call centres if you ring first thing in the morning you are more likely to get staff based in the UK.
2. Take the name down of the person you are speaking to and if you are still having trouble write to BT giving the name of who you spoke to the time and date of the call. Also put the issue that isn't resolved stating you will take it further if you don't receive a satisfactory answer.
Unfortunately call centre staff where ever they are based in the world are only get access to certain information so they try and fob you off to close issues. If you ask for the person's name they are more inclined to find out the correct information for you. If they can't then writing to the company should resolve the issue.I'm not cynical I'm realistic
(If a link I give opens pop ups I won't know I don't use windows)0 -

That's unfair.
I can't stand talking to offshore call centres. The line is always tinny, you can hear their pals in the background shouting and, frankly, they don't understand things.
Take a recent issue with AOL. They told me I had to call BT Wholesale. BT Wholesale are not 'public facing' I told them. Hang on. 10 minutes later, "you have to call BT Wholesale".
Its not easy.
Why do you think various companies have as a selling point the fact that they have UK based call centres?0 -
Yeah, the self-riteousness of some on here is amazing0

Either the charge is justified and your colleague is just a !!!!! using nationality for the issue to try and deflect blame or he needs to call back and stop being so ignorant and explain the problem and why it needs resolved:A:dance:1+1+1=1:dance::A

Why do you think some call centres were meant to be moving back home as theyre customers were either leaving or they raised the issue about not being able to understand what the operator was trying to say
ium sure i read that somewhere or maybe im wrong0
