Glad I've seen this thread, I thought it was me being cack handed with my laptop.

I have been able to access Yahoo.co.uk mail through OE absolutely fine for well over 6 months, until about four days ago.

I can still access my emails via website so not a huge problem, but my connection has been desperately slow, going on and off every few minutes (not sure if this is connected to email problem?).
I've run SpyBot/CC Cleaner/AVG, and been searching on lots of help sites including here, trying to gather info, and even changed my AVG for Avast.

My POP's & SMTP ports have been changed to every number going and SSL clicked off and on....phew , I've got so mixed me I've totally lost the plot now

Now Im getting following error msg..

IMAP server wishes to alert you to the following..Imap server cannot connect to IMAP server xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx (xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:143) connect error 100600.

exactly the same here white star

    too many comps..not enough time!
  • Curiously, I'd posted earlier as my email with Virgin stopped working yesterday, and I keep getting the "username/password thing,
I can't get my emails from the Virgin homepage either, that just keeps sending me between the home page and log in page, round in circles.
I have 4 email addresses with Virgin, but only the main one has stopped working

Everyone else still having problems? Anyone have any idea who I could email for advice - yahoo maybe? Would really like to know how soon it is likely to sort itself out as have 50 emails in my outbox waiting to go...

Yep, my problems gone from bad to worse. I can't connect at all to the internet now , have been trying all day to get a connection with AOL, and as usual there help desk is terrible. Not sure if this is connected with the yahoo problems, but it all seemed to stem from there and IP address and server problems. Now at parents house catching up on my work.

Fingers crossed we'll have better luck tomorrow :)
