I wouldn't bother paying for it, since you could move to Gmail and get access for free.

I can't do either, and I've been able to do both. I never used to when I had windows xp, but I could with windows vista, so I don't understand why it has stopped.

I used to do both until yesterday. Now I am getting an error message that says the server is not secure. I get the option to continue using it anyway, but when I did that yesterday (stupid, I know) my laptop started freezing up and crashing and it took me ages to get it sorted, so I'm not going to try that again!

Of course when I click 'no' yahoo terminates the connection.

Strangely this doesn't always happen - just a few minutes ago yahoo downloaded all my messages like a dream, but it is playing up again now.

Sending yahoo e-mails by live mail is always a hit and miss affair though - I usually use a different address for sending replies.

I can access yahoo from the site, but it is a nuisance.

It doesn't say the server is not secure for me...wish I knew if it was likely to fix itself soon, as I have a queue of emails in my windows outbox that I don't really want to have to copy to yahoo if I don't have to!

im the opposite everything was fine with xp until i got vista last month with new computer (old one crashed and decided it didnt want to come out of recovery mode and just went loopy). dont know why miscosoft had to change it. you would think better software would be even more compatible but apparently not. jury still out with me and vista! i have old software and hardware that will just not run on vista. but like the look of it.
