    Hmm, not according to the legals, but then what would I know. They just said third party isn't obliged to pay. I argued heatedly, to the amusement of colleagues. Was a simple, uncontested claim as well, that I'm sure would have sailed through even without the solicitors. They were quite tardy too, had to keep chasing them.

    OP - There were no injuries in our claim, expenses were phone calls (thousands of them - mostly to call centres!) admin fee for hire car (though they paid for the hire) plus an additional amount on the premium which we had to renew before the settlement was made.
